Understanding the data webinars: 24 January and 16 March, 12-1:30pm
As part of the Polypharmacy: getting the balance right programme hosted by the AHSN Network and NHS Business Services Authority (BSA), two webinars are taking place to consider how best to understand and utilise available medicines data.
The programme aims to support local systems and primary care to identify patients at potential risk of harm and support better conversations about medicines by promoting shared decision making. One of the core principles of this is population health management.
These are suitable for nominated AHSN polypharmacy and clinical leads; ICS medicines optimisation leads and Primary Care Network (PCN) teams, including GPs and pharmacists. Over 900 delegates have joined these webinars so far.
As part of the national polypharmacy programme, the webinar will demonstrate how polypharmacy prescribing comparators help us understand variation in prescribing of multiple medicines and identify patients more likely to be exposed to the risk of taking multiple, or combinations of, medicines.
