Policy Connect and the Health Innovation Network hosted a parliamentary roundtable on Tuesday 10th September 2024, on navigating Data and Innovation in the NHS in the coming years.

Chaired by Lord James Bethell, the roundtable featured a keynote speech from Minister in the Department of Health and Social Care, Baroness Gillian Merron, who reflected on the importance of innovation in reforming and improving the quality of care available on the NHS.

The audience heard from a diverse panel of Health Innovation Network Chief Officers, representing various localities across the Network. Each officer provided their unique range perspective shaped by the distinct populations and infrastructures within their respective regions.

The roundtable underscored the need for a multi-faceted and joined up approach to healthcare innovation in the NHS, with an emphasis on long-term investment, skills development, better data sharing, and collaboration.
