Nicola Bent
Chief Executive (acting), Health Innovation Wessex
Nicola joined Wessex AHSN (now renamed Health Innovation Wessex) in April 2020 from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), where she was Deputy Director of Health and Social Care and Programme Director for System Engagement. She became Acting Chief Executive of Health Innovation Wessex in January 2023 and maintains her joint portfolio as Director of Innovation.
Nicola is a registered pharmacist, who has over 20 years’ experience in health and social care, working in senior roles at national, regional and local level on implementation, quality improvement, strategy and transformational change, medicines optimisation and patient safety, and cross sector partnership working.
