Sameer Kothari
Commercial director, Health Innovation Manchester
Sameer joined Health Innovation Manchester in January 2024 from Zilico Limited, where he was CEO for the company that specialised in cancer diagnostics. At Zilico, Sameer took a new technology, establishing a commercial strategy that included fundraising, and executing this to successfully launch their flagship product in the cancer diagnostics field.
Prior to Zilico, Sameer was CEO of Plasso Technology Ltd, a venture capital-backed company developing research tools and labware for the life sciences. Sameer successfully led the sale of Plasso to Becton Dickinson Inc. Prior to joining Plasso, Sameer was a senior executive, with roles in strategy, business development, HR and mergers and acquisitions at Marconi plc. including a board position in Europe.
As Commercial Director, Sameer is responsible for delivering for Health Innovation Manchester’s commercial plan and developing new and existing partnerships with SMEs and global industry.
