Tammy leads on the HIWM Meridian Innovation Exchange and Economic Growth Activity’s which provides a mechanism to support the regional import and export of innovation throughout the West Midlands, UK, and internationally.

Prior to the HIWM, she worked in the NHS for over 20 years within a range of roles and organisations, including clinical audit, research and development, and innovation. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology and Masters in Applied Health Research, both of which had a heavy focus on change and adoption in the NHS.

In addition to her full time role, Tammy is also a director and vice chair for a company called IdeasUK, an organisation that support organisations from across all sectors harness the ideas of their employees and realise their potential.  Her roles with the HIWM, IdeasUK Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC), and the NHS have focused on industry and engagement and have enabled her to gain experience in the development of local innovation services and the development and adoption of innovation as a local level.
