Overview of the programme
The National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP) aims to improve wound care in England by developing a strategy that addresses variations in care. Implementing NWCSP recommendations will improve patients’ experience, reduce wound healing rates, lessen the impact of wound care on NHS resources and release time to care. Commissioned by NHS England and delivered by the Academic Health Science Network, the programme encompasses leg and foot ulcers, surgical wounds and pressure ulcers.
Wound care professionals, carers and patients can learn more about the programme and access resources on the NWCSP website. There are also opportunities for patients and carers who would like to connect with the programme. Find out more about how to get involved.
